Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how Setting Srls ("we", "us", "our") handles information in connection with the MCA × Temu application ("the App"), an ERP connector that enables sellers to synchronize their Amazon product catalog with Temu.

What data we do NOT collect

We explicitly confirm that the MCA × Temu application does not collect, access, store, or process any of the following:

All buyer and customer data — including names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and order information — is managed exclusively by Temu's platform and remains under Temu's data governance. We never have access to this data.

What data we process

The App exclusively processes product catalog data necessary to publish and synchronize listings between Amazon and Temu. This includes:

• Product titles, descriptions, and bullet points
• Product images (URLs)
• Product attributes (category, color, size, material, etc.)
• Pricing information
• Stock quantity data (inventory levels)
• Product identifiers (ASINs, SKUs)
• Packaging dimensions and weight
• EU compliance information (GPSR: Responsible Person, Manufacturer, batch number)

None of the above constitutes personal data under the GDPR or any other applicable data protection regulation.

Purpose of data processing

Product catalog data is processed exclusively for the following purposes:

• Publishing seller product listings on Temu
• Synchronizing available stock quantities between Amazon and Temu
• Ensuring product listings comply with Temu's requirements and EU regulations

No data is processed for any purpose beyond the scope of the Amazon-to-Temu catalog synchronization service.

Order notifications

When a Temu order is received, the App may send a notification to the seller containing only the SKU identifier and the quantity of the ordered items. This notification does not include any buyer personal data (name, address, phone number, email, or any other identifying information).

The App never accesses, retrieves, or stores the personal data of Temu buyers at any point in the order notification process.

Data storage

The App stores only product catalog data and operational data (product IDs, category mappings, stock levels) necessary for the synchronization service to function. This data is stored on a VPS server located in Germany, operated by IONOS SE, a European cloud infrastructure provider.

No personal data of buyers, end customers, or sellers is stored in our databases at any time.

Data transfers

All data processing occurs within the European Economic Area (EEA). Our server is located in Germany. No personal data is transferred outside the EEA. The App communicates exclusively with:

• The Amazon MCA data synchronization system (product data only)
• The Temu Open API (product management endpoints only)

Data retention

Product catalog data is retained only as long as necessary for the synchronization service. Since no personal data is stored, the 30-day deletion requirement for personal data under applicable regulations is not applicable. Operational data (product IDs, category mappings) may be retained for the duration of the service agreement with the seller.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect data against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Access to the back-office interface is restricted to authorized Setting Srls personnel only, protected by authentication credentials.

All communications with the Temu Open API are conducted over HTTPS using TLS 1.2 or higher.

Legal basis

The processing of product catalog data is based on the legitimate interest of providing the Amazon-to-Temu catalog synchronization service as agreed with the seller (Article 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(f) GDPR). Since no personal data of buyers is processed, no separate legal basis for buyer data processing is required.

Your rights

Since we do not store personal data of buyers or end customers, requests for access, correction, deletion, or portability of personal data can be addressed by confirming that no such data is held by our systems.
